Scholarship Resource Guide

The FIRST step to most scholarships is completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)!

Beginning October 1, 2016, families will use prior year tax information to complete to forms.

The MSU Office of Financial Aid will begin preparing 2017-2018 packages in December 2016, and the priority deadline for all  Michigan institutions remains March 1, 2017.

Early completion is an advantage to you!

Example:

  • The 2016-2017 FAFSA required 2015 Tax Data
  • The 2017-2018 FAFSA will also require 2015 Tax Data
  • The 2018-2019 FAFSA will require 2016 Tax Data
